Why do the libs at AIR AMERICA think they're insipid "Take Back America" campaign means anything at all?

"Make This Economy Work For Working People", "A Bold Apollo Plan For New Energy And Jobs", "Affordable Health Care For All", etc, etc, etc.
Let's all not forget that liberals had control of Congress FOR DECADES and in that time did absolutely nothing to solve these problems. The only thing they managed to do is create a welfare dependant class and run trillion dollar deficits.
Why should they ever be given another chance?
Answer:
Because they're liberals and that's what liberals do, they try to come up with campaign slogans that sound good because Americans are too lazy to actually do more than fifteen seconds worth of research into anything political. Liberals know that if the sound bite sounds good then people feel warm and fuzzy.
Usually when the liberals do this correctly, like when James Carville ran Clinton's first campaign, they win. Afterwards, when Americans realize that everything the liberals proposed will increase their taxes and put the government more in control of everything they vote all the liberals out and a new cycle starts.
This "plan" Air America has come up with, and you're right in that there's nothing to the plan besides the sound bites, is the exact reason why American politics is so messed up.

Actually, the greatest increase in the federal debt - from 3 trillion to over 7 trillion dollars - occurred during the presidency of George W. Bush. And the greatest budget deficit in history - over 500 billion dollars - also was a budget of George W. Bush.

They've obviously come up with the plan only because they're starting to realize that:
1) aborting babies as a means of birth control
2) giving condoms to children
3) promoting queer weddings
4) burning churchs
5) spitting on military veterans
6) supporting NAMBLA and ACLU, and
7) trying to turn over control of the US to the UN
as an agenda doesn't really fly with people anymore. And liberals are people who will say anything and do anything to get elected and then change their minds and raise taxes as an answer to everything.

Wow. I've got Air America on right now, listening to Al Franken. Yesterday I listened to Rush and Hannity. Today, Franken and Rhodes. So, I get both sides and both sides are spouting their "solutions." First off, it is NOT the radio talk show hosts' duty to come up with a solution to all of America's problems. They alert their listeners, their listeners may write their congressmen, and it goes on up from their. I'll tell you what, though, Air America holds back (for the most part) from bashing the right. Every other word out of Rush's or Hannity's mouth is derogatory towards those who lean the other way. It gets in the way of their "news."

Aww. You really don't believe that there are people out there that listen to both sides instead of just blindly following one? That's sad. I sit at a desk most all day with a radio right by me. It goes from 1340 to 920 and back most everyday. Believe what you will. I know where my head is. You are right about Randi Rhodes, though. Hence my changing the dial to get a dose of Hannity for a bit. He only does 3 hours, Randi does 4. I'll get them both, regardless.

You're mixing up liberals with libertarians, common mistake so I'll forgive you on that one. Most of our founding fathers were "libertarian" in philosophy, carefully separating powers of government to give people individual liberty and control over their own lives and destiny. They also gave dire warnings against the hijacking by corporations and banks and using religion as puppets...somehow they saw this coming over 220 years ago. Nevertheless, their warnings were ignored.
However, there are a few good plans and if you do a modicum of research you will find them. I'll provide a few, but you really need to think outside the box or at least attempt to have a firm grasp of economic theory, our current banking system IS the root of all evil here in the States, cut out the cancer and the symptoms we treat (so far unsuccessfully) will go away.
You also confuse libertarians with Socialists. You don't realize that we have already surpassed the first 3 steps of Marx's Communist Manifesto, and have since 1917.
