Why do we call heath care "Health Care". Shouldn't it be called "Sickness Care" ?

Question:
After all, they don't take care of our health, just our symptoms when we get sick.

Answer:
True health care includes the preventive maintenance aspects of health. Health is not absence of disease! Healh is being whole.
Not true. Most people go to the doctor for a physical (or at least the basics, like blood pressure, pap smear, etc.) once a year or so. Whether the person is sick or well, you're caring for their health. hence the term 'health care'.
no they want to get you into better health then what you were...hence..health care:)
It is called health care because it is more than going to a physician when we are sick. This all starts from the time you are born in the hospital with blood test and any necessary care. It is to insure that the pregnant woman is healthy and baby is doing fine up to delivery. It is for people who want to maintain a healthy lifestyle. For school physicals, disease prevention, mental health issues, the list goes on. So it is to keep us healthy with the best means possible.
Because you are sick when you are going in, and they are trying to make you better..Which is being healthy..soooo Health Care...
