yes, as the richest country in the world all Americans should have access to health care. That's the only Patriotic thing to do. It's better than fighting stupid wars like Iraq war and blowing trillions of dollars.

Absolutely. Did you know that under our current system 25% of health care costs go to Administration costs, we have the worst 'bang for the buck' in the world. Did I also mention that Cuba has better infant mortality rates than the US? (Infant mortality rates are an indicator of development and health care progress).
yes and no, Yes there should be health care provided on a sliding scale, using income and assets as a guideline. When things are free they lose there value. It should only be for USA citizens and legal immigrates. If we allowed illegals other than emergency care we would have new set of problems
i think the government should just pay for people who absolutely cant afford it and private companies should lower their prices

1) Insurance Corps are AGAINST IT. They Claim it "Doesn't work"
2) Canada has it, and they are all still alive.
Europe has it, and they are all still alive
China has it, and they are all still alive...

I don't know if will work in this country but in Canada they are very happy with it. The US is too much about money and profit for it to work. What would all those doctors here do without bleeding people dry so they can get another summer home!!

Absolutely not. I may seem callous and unfeeling to some, but I'm someone who believes that individuals need to be responsible for themselves - including finding and paying for medical care.
No the healthcare system is hurting enough as is. No sense in making it worse by getting the government involved.
France has thee number one rated Health Care in the world and it is Universal. We have the 37th rated health care in the world. Canada is 30 and I think the UK is like 28 or something. What does this tell you about the US and providing health care. 47 million citizens of the US do not have health care coverage. For the great country this is suppose to be, that is not acceptable. There has to be a change to some degree. I hear the long lines theories and blah blah blah..So what these people are saying is that all of a sudden all the doctors and medical professionals are going to leave? Quit the profession? also does this mean all of our hospitals and clinics are going to suddenly close down? I find that all hard to believe. I would like to see the US in the top 10 in health care in the world soon, not continuing to drop, its not right for a nation that is suppose to be so powerful and envied. Not right at all.

for people with no health care it is literally a life-saver.
in america we'll have both private and public. obviously if you can afford the expensive private that covers more procedures and works faster its best you pay for it.
no one will be forced to use the public health insurance if they don't want to. but some lack the money and need to have public insurance or not recieve medical care

we already have universal health care in AMerica, WE HAVE IT ALREADY.
If you are here in AMerica and you need medical attention, you can get it 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, just walk into any hospital and you will be cared for
And the most amazing thing about this wonderful country is, if you cannot afford it, the care will be provided anyway.
