Should the National Health Care system be optional?

Question:
Some people are so gung ho about National Health Care.

Personally, I think that if that is something that you want to participate in, then you should have that option.

You can either have...

A) Private health insurance that you pay for on your own and is set up the way it is now.

or

B) National Health Care that comes right out of your check. That money goes into a big pot for anyone who doesn't have health care. Once you money goes in...it doesn't matter if you paid or not...you all get the same treatment.

If you opt for A then you do not have to pay into the National Health Care plan. Liberals wet dream...they can support all those who don't have health insurance.

Some people want option B...I think that we should let them have it. If they want to participate in a National Health Care plan, they should have that option. If you don't, then you shouldn't be forced into it.

There would be no new taxes to support this.only what those who want it pay into it.

Answer:
no, if people want health care, you should have to pay for it. I don't want to pay for other people's health care. I refuse to be taxed to death for other peoples problems. I work and I get a health care plan from my job. And my dad purchases a healthcare system for his company. If we go to a socialized health care, we forfeit the ability to have the most advanced medical system in the world. There are people without the ability to get medical treatment, but socialized medicine is inefficient, ends up being way too expensive, and gives too much power to the government
Leave the health care system alone except for reforming tort law.
Make the losers pay the winners legal bills and put a cap on damages.
You already pay for people who don't have access to traditional medical insurance. It's called medicaid, medicare, and various other state run agencies for dependent children. You also pay a higher premium for the uninsured who are unable to pay for medical care (unpaid hospital visits). Your also paying for health care every time you purchase a car or buy any product manufactured by a company that offers medical to their employees. Do you really think GM eats medical benefits.
you mean universal health care?

universal health care by definition could not be...i think they should have health care for those who do not get it from their job, and for the unemployed.
Only one flaw in your reasoning: There will be new taxes.

Anyone with money isn't going to want their heath care from that crappy system. So the only people who will be paying into the Nation Health Care are the people who currently don't have insurance. That won't be nearly enough to support them, so either the system fails, or the people who have their own health care will have their taxes raised.
It's a crock of sh*t, I agree! I'd rather it stay in Eurpoe and Canada, where even those people are getting fed up with it's failures and introducing more and more privatizely owned hospitals! Hell, the whole Royal British family goes to privately owned clinics! Hmmm, I guess what's good for the common man isn't good enough for the royals! More proof socialized medicine is a failure!

I'm for a socialized healthcare system. Not a healthcare system as advocated by the democrats that involve insurance companies but one in which your health care is paid for by your taxes.
I'd support that plan, in fact I have suggested it myself many times.

There has to be some baseline healthcare that doesn't instantly bankrupt the uninsured.

By the same token, those who can afford it should not be prevented from obtaining private treatments if they so desire.
Not with MY money. If a libtard thinks this is a great idea then let him donate his weekly check to it.
