oo and btw i go to a science magnet school, they always tell us that it counts when we apply for college
and i want to go to a design or arts school...are my chances good...im also in 2 clubs. and have done only 20 hours of community service, but im planning to do over 100
Answer:
Sweety those are really good grades. Well.. physics isn't the best but don't worry so much about. Just work on it and try to bring it up. When I was in high school I always got one 'C' on every report card. The rest of my grades were good though and I got into an art school with no problems. Just keep up the good work and don't let yourself get any 'D's' and you'll be fine. Best of luck

Pick up the science grade next year but otherwise you look like you're on a good track.
yah girl just word a tad bit longer on physics and youll soar through highschool
freshman grades don't matter too much when you apply for college- its improvement that they're looking for. If you wanted to be a doctor or something, I think the C+ in physics would hold you back a little, but otherwise your grades are great! make sure they improve over time though, because science and math are important classes, and that's where your grades are low a little bit.
You should really work harder next year in whatever science you plan on taking next year but other then that you did really well and should be able to get into a good school after you graduate! Good luck!
I'd do more community service time especially over the summer. I'd also work on the Physics grade, although I'm guessing that it'll be something different next year. Everything else looks pretty good. Keep up the good work and start applying for scholarships as soon as you're a senior! :)
I would say yes, but ultimately high-school grades do not mean too much (luckily for my sake) - What truly matters to the majority of colleges is your SAT & ACT scores. Combined with your average highschool GPA (accumulative overall for your senior year)
Considering you are a freshman in highschool, you truly have a journey ahead of you, but your on to a great start. Keep that up, and good luck. (not that you need it yet)
I recommend that you try to get all A's. Sure you might get acceptect to the school of your choice with those grades but you won't get any scholarship. I got a full ride to a private college for all 4 years. I maintained an "A" average and did a lot of community service.
The average you get is B+ so you did very well.
i wish i had grades like that, study more for physics!
yes, your grades are good. i am a mother and what means more to me than what the grades are is the fact that my kids do the best they can. i can tell when they're not and they know it.
Good enough for most colleges and universities, if you keep it up and don't bomb your SATs. I guess you can probably tell where you need to improve -- get cracking on the physics books! Also, your later HS years will present new challenges as the work gets harder. So you'll have to keep working hard to maintain the grades you have now.
Your design/arts school will look at your grades, definitely, but most of them also ask you to submit a portfolio of your work. That's a pretty big factor, so put a lot of time into some of your art pieces and save the ones that turn out well.
You've got a 3.6. That's good enough for Ohio State but not good enough for Yale (magnet school or not).
If you subtract the three A's you got in the fluff courses (Art, PE, and Health), then your GPA is 3.3. That's borderline for Ohio State but probably okay for the University of Toledo.
I don't know what "design or arts schools" require but maybe instead of all that community service you should be improving your drawing and drafting skills and starting on a portfolio.
yeah just need to pick up that c+
but good for the rest. especially that A in art if u want to do sumtin with design or art.
Good job
:D
