Shouldn't McMahon and the WWE take some responsibility for Benoit mental health and action?

Question:
I think it's very distasteful for the WWE to defend against the roid-rage claims but immediately to remove all connections to the wrestler from their site. As soon as it came out that he was the murderer all items and merchandise of Chris Benoit was removed from the WWE website. The 14 hour early death news on wikipedia should have been enough for WWE to hold on to some hope of innocence.

Even though evidence does not look promising, shouldn't a large company involved in such physically and MENTALLY stressful work keep a closer eye on their employees? I'm very upset that there was not more done to prevent this kind of thing from happening. I personally feel this tragedy could have been avoided entirely if the WWE had stepped in an taken better care of their Wrestler's health. Any other business has plans to help their employees with this kind of trouble. I'm kind of sick to my stomach thinking about this tragedy all day while on vacation, so I'm done for now. thanks.

Answer:
i agree but for all u ppl who still want Benoit merchandise then goto wrestlingsuperstore.com
No, benoit made the choices that he did on his own. The WWE shouldnt br brought down by his actions.
I think they should take responsibility
No
If Chris Benoit is responsible for the murders, which i think he may not be, then WWE can VERY WELL be to blame. They put way too much pressure on these guys every single day to perform. After getting hit on the mat and by other guys all night, they must perform the next day. What is their last resort? Drugs. Pain killers to steroids. It's what keeps a lot of them going. (hence i said a lot, because i'm sure not every single one takes steroids). Being part of WWE is not all fun and games. I personally think it may be harder than other sports that others considered to be "real" compared to Pro Wrestling. What these guys do every day takes a huge toll on them mentally and physically, and then that adds on to more stress mentally. I am not saying WWE doesn't care for it's superstars but they should definitely keep a close watch on them and not force the same guys to go out and perform day in and day out. Give them more time off, maybe instead of say John Cena main eventing every single episode mix in who hardly ever do anythign and give him a break, right?

I agree with you. It is VERY distasteful for WWE to defend against roid-rage claims yet remove him from the face of WWE. They need to take responsibility because if Chris Benoit did kill his family then i'm sure as hell positive WWE had to do with causing his stress and pressures. And taking responsibility is not removing him and forgetting about him. And i'm sorry you had to think about this on vacation because i feel the same way and have been thinking about it all the time since it happened as well. it's a very saddening tragedy to start off my summer vacation.
hell yes!! those rich bastards dont care about what happens 2 anyone except the almighty dollar. that loser doesnt need to be remembered,he killed 2 innocent people..a little boy for christ sakes!! hes n the same category as manson and dahmer!! doesnt he do drug tests on his employees? oh yeah hes all steroided out too? wal-mart does drug tests.. they removed his merchandise so they sell to the highest bidder now that they know hes a murderer. anyways ive lost all respect for the mcgreedy family!! as we speak the mcgreeds are counting their millions and stocking up on steroids!!!
Maybe in some way. They had to have known in some way of his problems at home an maybe should have suggested he take some time off.
I don't think they should at all. These people are not the WWE's responsibility once they go home. They can get access to drugs of any kind just like other drug users do and they can abuse them . They are grown people that make their own decisions good or bad just like we do. Ask yourself this Is my job responsible for me if I get caught drinking etc?
The WWE is NOT to blame. Wrestlers are aware of the stress and other aspects of the job. They are willing to sacrifice their bodies for the love of the sport. Nobody forced them to enter the wrestling business. The WWE will help their employees if asked or prompted to do so. With all the steroid health issues, WWE has implemented a drug test on all their wrestlers to prevent them from doing them. Can a wrestler sneak around it, maybe..but it wouldn't be the WWE's fault.

These wrestlers are adults and are acountable for themselves. The WWE does not have to act like their parents. What a wrestler choses to do in his/her personal life is his/her decision, not the company's. Chris Benoit obviously had a mental issue. The WWE isn't psychic, and so it was a huge surprise when they found out what he "supposedly" did. Could actions have prevented it, yes. But whoever did the crime is the one to blame.

Benoit was an amazing wrestler and everyone says that he was a great person. So it's sad and unbelievable what happened. But putting the blame on the WWE is not right. The reason they took him off their site was a business move. Any other business/company would do the same. They are not dis-respecting Benoit by doing that. They didn't want the negative news tainting their current product. They aren't denying the news, but don't want to keep talking about it.
i agree they should take some responsibility for it. And u are right what they did is pulled every thing of his off the shelves and wont talk about him or nothin that is so sad and they should take some responsibility.
Its wrong that Mcmahon removed all the connections to Benoit on there website, Benoit hasnt even been proven guilty of anything, they shouldnt judge him before they know all the facts and start making it sound like they never even knew Benoit.
Is Chris Benoit is alive? anyway they should take the responsibility.
They should but they never will take any reponsibility because they don't want any negative publicity to affect their business.

ROAR!
No I dont think they should be held accountable. Chris Benoit was a grown man and his doctor should be held accountable for all the prescriptions he prescribed to Chris.

R.I.P. Chris Benoit...we love ya man
