"Universal Health Care"--a humongous lie?

People are desperate to believe that a government-run health care system will be a good thing. No matter what you assume, or are led to believe,to be true, the facts prove that the government does not run the health care programs is has now. Both Medicare and Medicaid are actually run by the same private insurance carriers who routinely deny claims for both everyone.

Answer:
The idea makes me a little nervous. I have a friend in Canada who recently discovered a breast lump - and the wait was FIVE MONTHS for her to even be seen for tests! That's crazy.

It is a well known fact in UK that the US has no national government-run health program that is comparable to the UK's National Health Service which is financed by National Insurance contributions deducted from wages and salaries

Tax payers pay for 'free health care'. While I don't think we should have a system like Euro/Commonwealth countries, something has to be done about the COST. Every American should get preventative health care. I cannot be the only American that has received a 'hard sale' at the dentist, optometrist, etc. The medical and pharmaceutical industries are like car salemans now.
