How come our health care system (U.S.) ranks so low?

Also a lot of controversies about "Sicko". Even being the biggest economy why can' US provide top class health care? Where do our tax go? Producing guided missiles and warring thats all?

maybe part of the reason is because you have to pay for it. i'm from canada and we have public health care, which is very nice.
I'm sorry I don't know but I would sure love to hear some of the answers. It's terrible that so many people don't have health insurance in the US. Can't wait to see the movie! Cuba has a better health care system! That's just sad.
