There is no one company and one plan that is best for everyone everywhere. You will need to visit a local independent agent to find the best plan for your situation. This person knows the plans available in your area and they don't charge you any extra for the service.
Do not try to do this on the internet unless you have the time (3 or 4 days solid) to compare the hundreds of policies available. Also, if you have pre-existing conditions or are out of the height and weight requirement you won't know using the internet and risk being declined.
Blue Cross is almost always a good choice, depending on your state. I would also look at Unicare, Aetna, Assurant, Humana, and Golden Rule.(maybe Celtic, depending on where you live) Look for an agent that lives in your state, or city. This can be helpful in the long run. Good Luck
