I noticed that you asked the question twice, so I posted in both areas…
I could not find any information on American Savers health insurance, but I did find a company named American Savers Life Insurance Company. I found this in a Texas Department of Insurance document (http://texinfo.library.unt.edu/texasregi... announcing that the company was changing its name from Financial Benefit Life Insurance Company to American Savers Life Insurance Company. Financial Benefit, according to this link (http://investdb.theglobeandmail.com/inve... is or was part of Amerus Group. I’ve included the contact information for Financial Benefit below in the sources section. I’ve also included a link to US state insurance departments. They should tell you about the company, and many departments have company listings on their Web site.
You might want to talk with local health insurance agents. Chances are, they’ll be able to quickly tell you about this plan. Do you have any information from them? It’s kind of sketchy that they are so hard to find anything about. Maybe they are based outside of the US?
