Does national health care work in Canada?
Question:
Neocons want to get $1 million for their Dad who died but they don't want you to get a dime when yours dies as a direct result of negligence.
Answer:
Our National Health Care system works, but it definitely needs serious upgrades to tackle issues like lengthy wait times and lack of General Practitioners. It does bring a lot of personal relief to Canadians that we can go in to see Doctors and Dentists, and receive basic services, without incurring large personal costs.
Canadian socialists health ins, does not work! long waiting periods to see doc's, extremely long waiting lists for everything, poor service. Answers stem from online bloggers from canada, who hate the system. Common sense tells us If you know your history, SOCIALISM does not work in any facet of life, why are they so poor in services?, common sense!, when they depleate you of all your pay to support these programs, you have no other choice, and b/c of stupid voting practices to get more for meeeeeeeeeee, you loose!!
Duh, the reason these canadians you talk to do not have cars is because they cannot afford one due to the high tax rates necessary to support their socialized medical program.
SOCIALISM.
But maybe you're right. The government should run health care. After all, they do such a good job running the post office and the driver's license office.
I live in a tourist area with a large amount of Canadian "snowbirds" migrating here each and every winter.
One reason, as locally reported on the news, is for the health care system, here in the US, where they can get their surgeries - NOW.
I have talked to many of them at the doctors offices and they do not like the long waiting lists, sometimes years, to get some of the surgeries such a bunionectomies.
I don't care to hear about the poor for one reason and one reason only. My family was very poor when I was a child, we lived in an inner city area and we have all managed to do well.
It's not luck, it's work.
You have to work.
You have to educate yourself.
You have to care enough about yourself to do the things necessary to empower yourself and not expect anyone else to do it for you.
btw the comment that was added
"We spend $500 billion on defense and we only spend 14 percent of outlays on Social programs. 3000 died on Sept. 11th. that's 1/10 of one percent who will die this year because of no health insurance in America."
You are not, thankfully, guaranteed social programs in the US. Nothing kills initiative and inventiveness faster than having everything done for you.
As far as defense I guess your reasoning is that we should play Russian Roullette with defense and only after more people die in one month or one day than will die in one year, then and only then should we plan for defense.
If our forefathers had that way of thinking we would still be a British colony.
Thankfully they were more progressive and more far-seeing than many give them credit for. Go actually read the Constitution, don't skim it. Make sure you understand it - dictionaries are wonderful things.
