Question:
My nutritionist is terrible and I dont have any options for getting a new one because of our health plan, so I'm looking for advice on a HEALTHY way to gain weight. My nutritionist said "2500 calories a day", but it's hard for me to get all of that in...especially with the food allergies that I have. I have a weak stomach (im sensitive to fats)...but ANYWAYS...i just need some suggestions on how to gain weight in a HEALTHY way...what is a diet that wont just pack fat onto my stomach? i want to gain evenly throughout my body.
Answer:
If you're underweight and have food intolerances, you may want to see if you have celiac disease. You didn't mention anything other than fats, so I'm not sure if this fits you at all. But take a look at this link -
http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases...
If that starts ringing bells, go to www.glutenfreeforum.com or www.celiacforums.com to ask any questions you have.
You also mentioned being concerned about not gaining weight in your stomach. Celiac can cause bloating, which will make your stomach look big.
Hope you start feeling better soon.
