About Health Insurance?
Question:
Anyway, my question is this: What do you think about that? 60 to 40 equation? I'm thinking that my 'out of pocket' (for family - my son and I) will be quite high, and my co pays at the doctor/dentist will be as well... Can anyone help please?
Answer:
There's a company out there that helps people who do not have and need affordable health benefits. It includes regular office visits, any specialists and even pre-existing conditions. It basically includes everything you need help paying for. Their medical plan includes dental, vision, prescription and chiropractic benefits as well. There's no high premiums, deductibles, co-pays, waiting periods, claims forms or anything like that at all. They can save you up to 80% on your out of pocket expenses for a very small fee every month. It could end up saving you a lot of $$ over traditional insurance. Try this website and you can check out the specifics and providers in your area. http://www.everyonebenefits.com/40424269... If your provider isn't on there, he can be added. They are a wonderful company and are members of the BBB. I have benefits through them as well. Hope you find what you need. Please email me if you have any questions, and I'd be happy to help you if I can. Best of luck.
Well, these days, health plans are just plain horrible. But not having insurance is alot worse I guess.
Let's say the insurance is $400 a month - your employer would pay $240 and $160 would come out of your check, correct?
Next, you should find out what (if any) the deductible would be. For example, there may be a $500 per person deductible per person. So that means you would have to pay this amount out of your own pocket before the insurance paid for anything. After you meet this deductible, the insurance pays a portion of the services, usually about 80%. So you would be responsible for the 20%.
So, yes, the out of pocket expenses will be alot. Most people, unfortunatley, are in the same boat you are. At least, I am anyway. Good luck. If you have any more questions, update your question and I'll try my best to help you :)
I'm going to assume your alternative is NO insurance. I guess you will have to decide which is going to cost you more in the long run. Problem is you have no way of knowing what medical catastrophe is out there waiting for you. Meantime my husband and I have no insurance and it can be very expensive to pay totally out of pocket not to mention the stress of never know what's coming at you next.
My husband works for a very large company and they carry BCBS insurance as well. They pay 100% of my husband's insurance, but none for my daughter and myself -- we end up paying almost $400.00 per month (which basically is what he's paying for just my daughter and myself) --- health insurance is really outrageous.
If your only other option is no insurance, I guess the 60/40 thing isn't so bad --- companies are getting to the point where they don't pay for health insurance like they used to.
