(US Citizens only) What is your opinion on the Illegal Immigrant problem? How do you plan to help solve it?
Question:
Answer:
I have no problem with legal immigrants, they make America well...America. However, illegal immigrants are clearly breaking the laws and should be treated as such. But, what makes me most upset is that they break the law and are given benefits that citizens are not even given. This is not fair, they are stealing from America.
The only solution is to legalize the undocumented workers already here, and to implement a guest worker program that is based on reality not on dreams.
First of all, the problem can be answered if we figure out why immigrants come here leaving behind their wives, children, parents and homes to risk their lives crossing the border. Then we address that problem. But, the problem is not only created here but in the country they are immigrating from. The social structure is collapsing in Latin America. There are more women than men in astonishing numbers and there is an dramatic shortage of men from 20 to 60 years old. their army is non-existent practically. The united states has taken the best of these countries and left them with only the aging population that they don't have a need for them anymore.
you may be right on certain items. but we need to see why this issue is such a big deal. Every person in has taken a easy way out. Not to work blue collar jobs. So the need is created and is full filled by Illegal immigration, which offers them a lower pay (which when convert in to native currency is a lot). but yes this is a big toll to the economy because of loss of reported taxes.
The solution is that we need to educate that all jobs are dignified and a pay structure should be maintained. Have tough taxes laws and those who try to evade them.
let see what next decades has to offer...

Please get your facts right about Latin America.
I think lovebuggy9029 is a dyke for saying illegal immigrants have more rights then legal citizens. this is why america wont get better cause you got this people who blame all theyre s h i t on on the weak.
To solve the illegal immigrant problem, it has to stop.
It can be stopped, making and developing ways to get them a valid legal status. That way since they are already here (and quite frankly I don't believe they will leave) all of them will be accountable for all purposes, such as police records, all of them will pay taxes and contribute to the federal and local funds with a name.
In the long run, it will cost more not to have them than to make them legal.
At the same time, there has to be more modern ways to stop border crossing from either border, so the problem doesn't perpetuate.
If we keep our long processing laws, then the problem will never end. The immigration needs reform to ease good, working, family oriented people to be able to work and live in peace.
