Has anyone completed an online course, doing a masters?
Question:
Answer:
I am working on my Master's in American History via the internet. Evey thing is completely on-line so I can do my work from anywhere. I find that it is not much different. I attend American Public University and we (students) have to log on to the course at least once a week. Every professor is different, so there was not always an assignment, but most there were. There is a lot to do on the discussion boards. Where each student has to post a response to a question from the professor. A lot of the time these responses create a debate as it would in a classroom.
Of course, you will have to do more research and reading on your own. As there will not be a professor standing in front of you to help you understand things. But then again it is grad school and you will probably not get that any way.
To do this type of school, you must be able to pace your self and stay on track. If you get behind it is very hard to catch up.
I hope this helps. If you need more info, you can email me.
