I am looking to take college courses online. Does anyone know of any site that offers free courses?

Question:

Answer:
You won't get an actual degree from them for it, but MIT lets you peak at the course materials and learn all you like for free.

Enjoy!
I don't think that exists, at least not for credit.

i dont think such places on internet available that offer u free courses bcuz if they do , they will have to bear a major loss. and ultimately their all financial status will collapse.
if there r any sites then nope they will not offer free bcuz they cant bear a loss.
and wait if there is a site offering free courses u shud check first if it is recognized and degree accepted or not ok
John Hopkins has some free course from their MPH program - open course ocw.jhsph.edu/ - but you cannot get college credit for them also MIT has course material available for free as part of its open course work project ocw.mit.edu/ - again not offering credit
I myself like to take online courses. I don't know of any free courses, but I can recommend a site where you can take courses for a very small fee. I have taken courses with them and even though you do not receive college credits you do receive a diploma once you complete the course. The teacher and assistants are always available. Students have a space for questions and posting assignments and best of all you take real quizzes and a final test. Check it out you might find something you like. Have fun learning ;)

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FREE LUNCH! YOU WANT TO TAKE COLLEGE COURSE, PAY FOR THEM LIKE THE REST OF US!
It's great to hear that you are looking to further your education- good for you! Regarding your question of "free courses" online, I don't know of any that are offered. Colleges are institutions that have to make money by charging tuition (and grants, donations, etc.) in order to pay the professors and staff. If you DO find a college that claims that they have free courses, be careful- there is fine print somewhere!

On a good note, many universities and colleges offer financial assistance and online classes! Be cautious before committing any money for the course by ensuring that they are an accredited learning facility so that you are being taught by individuals that have the proper credentials and you receive transferable credit hours. Check out the University of Phoenix- I think that they are one such organization...

Be proud of your decision and best wishes to you! Michele
