Are online Real Estate licensing courses for real? As long as I am licensed, I'm a legitimate agent, right?

Question:

Answer:
completing your state's required real estate education course (whether it's online or in a classroom) is just one step in the licensing process. there are legitimate online courses, but those education providers do not grant your license, the real estate commission in the state where you live does that. contact them before you invest in a course to be sure they approve of the course provider and to find out what other requirements your state may have to obtain a real estate license.
On line anything needs to be researched as to the legitimacy of the claim. Check with your stated R E Licensing board to see if they accept that company.
On Monday call your State Board of Realtors in the capital city of your state. They will tell you who the approved instructors are. Why spend big money on a course they do not approve of for you to get your license?
Be a legitimate agent for united first financial. Check out the following: www.u1stfinancial.net/mortgage...
Paul D. had an excellent answer for you. I would have to agree with about 99% of everything he said.so consider that my "echo" as an experienced Realtor. I don't believe the intent of this site is to offer our services to you. So the 1% where I do not agree would be the commercial message and profit involved if you sign with Keller Williams, however I do appreciate the enthusiasm of the writer.

Before you make a decision on becoming part of a franchise, look at each and what they have to offer you. Take the broker out to lunch if you can. See who has the time and willingness to train you. It is not all about your split. It is about the reputation of the office, the agents, the broker. What you may sacrifice initially in your split, you may gain in volume.

Drive around your area. Look at who has many signs up. Go to their websites and see how they market their properties. See which companies are involved in your community...giving back brings blessings! Talk to the agents...what is the turnover? Are there producing agents that have been there for YEARS? These are all things to be considered in choosing your office.

As for your online licensing inquiry, I have tried several real estate schools. Allied, Executive Programs and Anthony Schools. The latter is the only program where I felt I learned anything. The others will grant you your certificate, but you will be scratching your head when it comes to knowledge.

Best of luck to you!
First thing i would say is go with the cheapest accredited real estate course you can because most of what you need to know is not taught in those classes. Make sure you are ready for the state exam if your state requires it like NY. Then be like a leech, attaching yourself to every successful agent around you who's willing to help you learn the biz.
