What degree of competition are college level courses taken online having on traditional colleges/universities?

If you are asking if one type has more value in the workplace than the other, then the answer is that your degree is as respected online or classroom if it's from a respected university. People who get their degrees online can be shown to be self-starters and focused because it's hard to stick to a task if no one is watching.
If you're asking if one type is harder to do than the other, then I think these other folks are right - it depends on the teacher. I have heard of some that were easy and some that were hard.
I dont really know but I am in online classes and they are much harder than the traditional classes I have taken.
It will depend on the professor. Some professors I have taken online and in person at my school and they have different styles. In person they seem to expect more of you because it is in person and you have the ability to get more help if needed because there is the face time aspect of the class. The online class was a little less strict with the quality of work, but the quantity of work increased. In a way since online classes you are disciplining yourself to learn the material a professor might give more work just to see if you are dedicated to learning yourself.
