Do online real estate courses count towards the required units needed to get license in California?

Question:

The California Real Estate website says that there are three courses required to get your real estate license. These classes are offered at community colleges but there are also many online courses offered through private companies. Do these courses count towards any or all of the classes required in order to get your license? I have a college degree does that change anything?

Answer:
Yes. I did my Real Est. Principals at SBCC.edu and they counted. Make sure its not a fake school. Beware!

I don't believe the college degree will affect your chances, unfortunately. Yes the on line classes will cover you but if you don't have any real estate experience you would probably want to actually sit in the class for the 60 or so hours.

Check with the online school and see what they offer. You might complete the classroom hours online, and take the test at their location

Thank you for your question. Yes they are but make sure you check with the online school that they are accredited by Department of Real Estate. Depends on the online school. They will tell you whether or not their classes will qualify for the educational requirements. If you have a Bachelor's degree, I would apply for the broker's license.
