Grant for online course?

Question:
Does anyone know how to get a grant for an online course.

Answer:
The answer depends a lot on the type of coursework and the institution you will be doing the coursework through.

Pell grants are only for undergraduate students. Once you have a bachelor's degree, you are not eligible for pell grants.

Federal student aid (including Pell grants) are only given for studies at regionally accredited institutions.

So, if you are doing bachelor's level coursework (and do not currently have a bachelor's degree) and the insitution is accredited (like University of Phoenix) then the answer is yes.

Check out the website listed below for more information on student aid. It is maintained by the U.S. Department of Education.

To find out if you are eligible for financial aid, start by completing a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). This form has to be completed annually to determine a student's eligibility.
