How do i get funding for online courses?
Question:
Answer:
Enquire at the Job centre Plus or ring that firm that always advertise on the tv 'Learning Direct'. There are some courses that you can do for free although you may have to qualify by receiving certain benefits or be under a certain age.
you cant
best way is to ask the folks providing the courses,
why not check out learn direct's website - they have a whole section on funding for learning..
you can also phone their advice line for more help (the number is on the website)
If it is for your child and not for you you can look around and see if there are any charter schools in your state. State taxes pay for charter schools and it is considered public schools. You have your choice of online courses like Missouri, Calvert (although that is not online but book - snail mail oriented) etc. You have many choices on what you would like your child to learn and it is even considered public school so you get all the benifits of public schooling such as IEP's, Psycological tests, etc. You can get computers, books and materials totally free. You don't even have to give an intent to homeschool (if your state requires one). I know there are charter schools in Ohio and Pennsylvania and I believe they are starting them in Indiana but unsure of what other states they have them in. Good luck.
