Is an online real estate course a good idea?

Question:

Answer:
I have taken self study, online and in classroom classes. Each of them has pluses and minuses, but online courses worked best for me. The cross-references are fast and the feedback is instantaneous. They are a good choice.
Make sure it is accredited
I'm currently taking Real Estate Principals online. Just as any distance learning course, there is a lot of reading involved. It's a lot of information to take in, but if you work well alone and are well diciplined, I say go for it!

Good luck :)
I took the real estate course from the University of British Columbia one time. The course only take 6 months to complete. It was through correspondence. I see no any different between correspondence courses or on-line courses. It should be OK.
yes I got my license fter taking an online course but you ned self discipline and I took a 2 day cram course that really helped
It all depends on your learning style. I took my original class in a classroom. The instructor was decent and knew her stuff but she had a hard time controlling the class. This was a big distraction and seemed to make it drag on. I took the continuing ed class on line and I enjoyed it much more. I could work at my own pace and got it done in a week.

Make sure that whatever class you take is accredited for your state. Also, a good on-line class will have a demo lesson for you to take to see if it is compatible with your learning style.
Hello,

I completely agree with wanting to invest your money. Afterall, what's the point of making money if you can't make more money with your money (got that?)? Anyway, I've tried all different investments from stocks and bonds to IRA's, 401k's, and real estate. I'm really a big fan of diversification.

However, the only investment I've really been happy with so far is real estate. Over the past 5 years, I've bought 3 different properties (all have tenants, and I'm making more than the mortgage payments on 2 properties).

The 3rd property I got was using Carleton Sheets no money down methodology (he's a GURU in real estate, and yes, his methods do work!). You can actually buy a property for absolutely nothing down (NO MONEY FROM YOUR OWN POCKET). I payed over $500 for his course 3 years ago, and I just saw it online for $9.95!! This is a steal at $9.95 (I'm actually going to buy it for my friends for Christmas). It was featured on TV, so I got the website from there.

Before you invest in anything, I highly suggest the Carleton sheets course. http://www.alllsite.info/real-estate.php...
