Which organizations or individuals fund youth centers?

Question:
There is a youth center where I live. It is badly furnished and barely do the young use it. I want to help by contacting interested people or organizations.

Answer:
The YMCA is one source that strives to protect children by teaching them through sportsmanship and helping build good character. If there is no local YMCA then I would start researching grants. There is a company based out of San Antonio called Nonprofit Research Center of San Antonio, TX. they can help you locate funding. I think they charge though-so you may want to try the internet first. When all else fails try gathering donations from places in the community. Restaurants, other businesses *** well. It can't hurt. If your heart is in the right place-someone has to agree and be willing to help out there.
If you have a HOG chapter in your area ask them to donate, my chapter raises money for the Boys and Girls clubs every year. Quite a lot of money in fact.
