Most associate's degrees are vocational (computer science, mortuary science, etc.), but some are in "liberal studies," meaning study in the humanities. No associate's degree is specifically in African-American studies.
I suggest you take a look at online courses offered through state universities. Many offer courses in African-American studies. If you are sufficiently committed, and take your other "General Education" courses online as well, you could eventually earn a bachelor's degree with a major in African-American studies.
I've placed some links below that will help you find state universities that offer online courses. Do a bit more research, and look for the one that offers the most online courses in African-American studies. Keep in mind that African-American studies courses often are offered by departments of English, History, American Studies, Ethnic Studies, Religious Studies, Sociology, and sometimes, but not often, even Psychology.
