What's making online courses a popular form of education if, as you say, it's not for everyone?

Question:

Answer:
They are popular for working people or parents at home. They are not for everyone because some are accelerated and you have to have the time to put in it. Also, you have to be very disciplined about doing research and readings. It is easy to slack and go do something else, since you are not usually dictated what time you have to be on-line. Personally, I have taken both and I prefer hearing lectures from a professor instead of reading about it.
I like them because if I am tired or don't feel motivated, I am not committed to having to go to class. I can log on when I like (systems like Blackboard or WebCT) and work at my own pace.

I have been out of college a long time, but still try to take an online course every once in a while just to "stay ahead of the game."

:)
cause you dont have to WASTE hours in your day listening to a professor drone on about something that youre going to have to read anyway.

i learn WAY more in online classes and have WAY more free time. i really hope to see more online schools in the future.
