You will have to do the practical work in an actual hospital though.
Go to a real school, as it's a hands-on profession.
Use spellcheck.
NO NO NO
You cannot become a nurse taking online courses! How will you learn to draw blood? Take temperatures? bandage wounds?
(I'd hate to be a dog in that household. LOL)
There is no way to take nursing solely online.
You have to have labs, not to mention other classes as well.
Up ur azz
Really it would be a good idea to maybe get on line and find out the basics for nursing. But its also a real good thing you go to a college because the more you can do hands on the better you'll become at it and like it more.
It depends what kind of nurse you want to be. If you want to get your Bachelor's in Nursing, you should take some basic courses online from your local communiity college(English, Math, History etc.)
You may want to talk to someone where you want to get your degree from. I personally think that if you have no medical experience, that you may want to try some "hands on" approach; you may want to volunteer somewhere to see if that is what you really want to do.
Actually you can't get online courses until you enroll in a local program. Depending on what degree you want. You can enroll in a tech fast course for LPN in one year. An Associate RN in two years. Or a full degree in a four year program. You can get any of the lesser degrees and bridge online to a higher all require actual interms. I suggest speaking to nurses in a Geriatric Facility they can tell you of programs approved in your State. Good Luck we need you!
I hate to burst your bubble but an actual nurse has to attend nursing school like the one at TCU- Harris College of Nursing or a similar program. In the program you will have lab practicals, going to the hospital & having to be there @ 5 a.m. for rounds, working in different departments of the hospital to get experience with different areas of nursing. You'll need to attend lectures/seminars, go to biology classes, math classes, learn to draw blood, put in an IV, lots of stuff.
