Will my current Direct TV-Tivo receiver work when Direct TV launches new HD channels?

Question:
I currently have a Direct TV-Tivo (the last model they supported) and I was wondering if I would continue to receive channels when they launch their 70 new HD channels. I only ask this because I heard a new Direct TV receiver is required to see these new HD channels and I do not want this new receiver. So will I be ok? Thanks for any info!

Answer:
I am guessing that when yoiu say you have the last DirecTV Tivo version they offered it is a Tivo R10 which is ONLY for Standard Definition TV. If I am correct about the above Tivo unit or any of the Tiov units (other than the HR10-250 which is the DirecTV Tivo that is for HD Programming) they will all work and continue to work for DirecTV's Standard Programming. When DirecTV say's they will be offering MORE HD channels then this is only for customers that have and use DirecTV's HD Programming and an HD DVR or HD Tivo DVR. So do not worry, they are still going to have and support the Standard Definition TV and DVR's.. I hope this helps..
It will work. You just won't get any HD channels but if you're not subscribing to the HD package, who cares.
