Which is a better service Camcast, Direct tv or Dish Network and if possible why?

Question:
a family member is thinking of getting a new service and they want to know what the best is according to price, service, and quality.

Answer:
Personally I would go for Satellite Tv rather than Cable Tv, unless the place where it is going to be set up has a poor view to the south. Generally, satellite TV is much cheaper for what you get.

There is really very little difference between the satellite tv providers, although Dish Network is slightly better money for value in my opinion. Below is a link that compares the two providers. There is also a link on the same page that compares sat tv with cable tv. All the best. :)
Pricewise, you're probably better off going with one of the satellite services. In most areas your monthly cable bill will usually be *twice* what you normally pay for satellite, but it's not hard to see why: with cable, the cable company has to pipe that signal into your house - this means running lines thoughout the service region (along with the associated hardware), buying right-of-way access from the phone or power company to run those lines on their poles, etc. That's a lot of overhead to take care of.

On the other hand, with satellite the company only has to transmit to the unit in orbit; the satellite can then reach your dish, no matter where you are or how far you are from the broadcast station. They don't have as much infrastructure to pay for, and it shows on the customer's bill.
Hi Landry,

I'd clearly vote for Dish cause:

- cheaper
- more channels and more variety
- awesome picture quality

You might check out http://www.dishnetworkbargains.com... - They currently run some promo with free Dish and DVR you might take advantage of. If you have any questions just call 'em up, they are professional and helpful.

Hope that helps.

Best wishes
