Can I paint my TV satelite dish?
Question:
Answer:
No - don't do it. You will seriously kn@cker up your reception and picture. My friends husband accidentally dripped some paint on theirs and wiped it off, but, the thin film left behind caused their picture to be really bad and in the end they had to get a new dish!
you could paint but you are at risk of losing your your signal duo to vibratiions of painting the dish thats my opinion
It's best not to, if you want to continue receiving a signal
You can.
Yes, you can paint it. I would suggest that you lightly sand the surface of the dish first, and then apply a few uniform coats of a good matt finish plastic spray paint such as Krylon Fusion. Be sure to keep the paint off the LNB's.
Dont attempt it. You will lose the signal.
Simple answer ---No it does not in any way !
Cheers Pete
PS .. PINK ?
Yes you can, I've seen dishes painted to match their background, e.g. brick colour, and they still work and look really good too.
Pink, please, who wears the pants?
I would not use house pain on it, maybe find the closest spray type of paint you can find or use a paint sprayer, so you can apply a thin coat.
Paint does not hurt the dishes ability to perform it's job (reflect the signal to the LNB), as long as the paint has NO metallic properties. Any metal in the paint could distort the focal point of the dish. Lacquer with no metal should do nicely.
