Direct TV or Dish Network for High Definition Channels?

Well straight out of the gate let's compare? DirecTV has about 9 HD channels and Dish Network has over 30. I know, "DirecTV is going to have over 100 by the end of the year." Well they better hurry up. Have they found a solution for the February disaster. I haven't heard anthing. They said it did not affect them. Where are they going to lauch the other satellite from? In addition, what channels are they brining out in HD? Are most of them going to be local markets? Because, Dish Network already has over 100 HD channels if you count local markets.
They are the same. They even use the same satellites.

DISH Netowrk for sure... I decided to get DISH HD after weighing the two providers... I chose DISH because it offered many more HD channels than DirecTV. Plus it was a cheaper setup fee than DirecTV and the monthly bill was cheaper, too.

I would Def. Recommend Direct TV, They are backed by one of the biggest electronic retail outlets which is best buy. you go into best buy and you'll find out that direct TV is their choice for high def as well... All the high def channels should actually be avialable next feb.. to be safe. Direct TV has been out longer than DISH and Direct TV has already launched all the satelites they need and are pretty much waiting on the networks to release the channels for broadcast. the big hold up is the consumers. NOt enough high def TV salesfor networks to incur the cost of broadcasting high def.
