Close captioning for my Sony KDS-60A2020 projection TV stays on despite the CC Vision being turned "Off". Help

Question:
The Close Captioning remains on for some channels, but not others. I've turned off the CC Vision and the info banner, but it still appears on the screen. I am using a Time Warner HD DVR, but not sure if that is part of the problem. Please help!

Answer:
You've got the CC setting in the menu set to OFF right?
Double-check it.

Now, the CABLE BOX can produce Closed Captioning.set it to OFF also..

And if it doesn't go away, call the Cable TECH first. They are FREE.
And if they can't help you, THEN call a TV TECH.they aren't FREE, but they are smart.smart enough to isolate the problem and resolve it..
the cable box has closed caption also turn off the cable box keep the TV on then press menu the boxes options will come up change them here.
make sure it is turned off in both, your television/projector, and the cable box.
