NTSC vs. ATSC?

Question:
I just bought an HD ready TV, and it is NTSC. Do I need to buy an ATSC antenna to receive HD channels, or can I just get an HD cable box from Comcast? Are these two the same thing (the antenna and the cable box)? Thanks!

Answer:
NTSC is analog tuner, ATSC is digital tuner. In order to receive digital stations, your set must have an integrated ATSC tuner in addition to the NTSC.

If your set is HD-ready it means you'll need an external ATSC tuner box or a High definition receiver form either cable or satellite provider.
