Is directv getting 100 HD channels by the end of the year?

Question:
I currently have Dish Network and only get like 30 HD channels
What channels are they getting? Wondering if I should make the switch.

Answer:
DirecTV will have the CAPABILITY of over 150 HD channels when they launch their newest satellites. At this time, they're planning to have over 75 national HD channels (they've already reached deals with the affiliates) in September this year plus more local HD channels in select markets.

See the link for more info on the press release.

If Dish is making plans to allow you to expand your DVR memory, remember that it is not BIG technology and that every company who makes receivers with DVR capabilities have been working on this as it is something that customers are VERY interested in.
