Has anyone heard anything new regarding DirectTV HD channels?


Question:
They've been promising 100 channels by the eand of the year, but we are halfway there and they haven't added squat.

Has anyone seen or heard of a schedule that the new channels will go HD, or has anyone heard anything other than "100 by the end of the year"?

Answer:
The last news release was dated May 23, 2007. What's holding DirecTV back is capacity. It appears they will launch a new bird this summer and another next year to support the new channels. Provided nothing happens to these satellites between launch and deployment, we should begin seeing some of these new channels in the fall.
