Sony wega hd tv hd channels dont fit on screen?

Question: I hav e a 50 inch sony wega HD tv and on my comcast HD channels the whole picture doesnt fit, i have tried to use my tv's options but nothing works. any ideas?

Answer:
Have you tried the cable box's options? Your box may not be set to show 720/1080p so you may need to change the setting. Also HD channels don't always show hd programming, so the picture will appear either 4:3, or even 16:9 but with black bars on all 4 sides (I hate it when they do that)
