Answer:
All new TV's have an ATSC tuner inside of them. You are able to pick up your local channels on it in HDTV. It will automatically tune to a digital signal. The picture quality will be 720p, which is still outstanding for a HDTV.
Good job on finding that TV for that low of a price!
Best Buy sells a RCA antennae that is HD Terrestrial. It's $10.00 and works wonders.
Hope that works out for you. ;D
Wal-Mart has some cheap HD antennas. Why don't you hook one up and find out for yourself? I hope you are within the "line of sight" from the transmitting antennas. Good Luck
I agree with the previous poster. But will add just this: don't use a coat hanger! It may possibly work if you are lucky about the area you live in. But I have come across a great many TVs whose antenna socket has been damaged by people using a coat hanger for antenna.
You can afford a decent TV. Pay the extra few pennies and get yourself a decent antenna. It will save you money in the long run.
ah you have discovered what many have, analog looks like crap on an HDTV... but serioulsy if you go to walmart and get an HD Antenna it will blow your mind your friends will think you have cable or sat. but it has to say HD antenna a reg antenna will give you that fuzzy analog crap
