My HD CHANNELS ARE SMALL ?
Question:
I got a 60'' LCD HDTV 1080P if it helps ?
Answer:
The format needs to be changed. If thier is a button that says "wide" or fit on your Remote hit that. It just goes to a different format size.
Check the "picture format" settings on your TV - is it set to 1080p and widescreen?
It's most likely something wrong with your cable box. Call Comcast and tell them your problem and they will probably tell you to turn the box off, then they will "flash" it and hopefully it will be fixed. If not, schedule an appt for Comcast to come over and fix it. Good luck!
If you have a widescreen TV, some shows are still being broadcast to fit the old 4:3 screens, so you have a choice of either cutting off the top or bottom of the image, or having black bars on the side. Personally I prefer the black bars, because you're getting the whole picture the way it was intended.
Sometimes the TV STATION will put a 4x3 picture into a 16x9 FRAME.and if it's in a 16x9 frame your picture has two pillars.one on the left and one on the right.
But the sucky part is that you can't expand a 16x9 FRAME.
If it was a 4x3 picture in a 4x3 frame you could switch to full mode and fill the screen, but a 16x9 FRAME is the largest one and it can't be expanded.
Blame it on the artsy-fartsy guys at the TV station playing with all the fun new buttons and gadgets that they now have..
I am Camera-man, ooooh what's this button do?
I am Edit-man, ooooh what's this lever do?
I am Control-Room-man, oooooh what's this blinking light do?
I am Station-Owner-man.ooooh what's this drink made of?
You get my point, right?
