Is it possible to record the entire data stream to a sat dish/cable TV?

Question:
What I want to know is it possible to record every single thing/channel recieved by your cable or Satilite so you can play back anything you want later instead of just one or two channels.

In todays world hard drives are bigger and better so storage should not be an issue. Surely there is a device capable of doing this.

Answer:
You would need a seperate tuner for each channel,so the answer practically is no
