only on my HD channles. So when Im watching anything in HD, and I hit the guide or info buttons on my remote...nothing happends, but they work fine when Im watching all other channels. Its a Sony HD tv and I have Time Warner HD cable. what gives?

It depends if you are hitting the guide and info button on the TV or cable box remote.
For regular TV, only HD channels have a channel/TV guide, analog channels do not.
If you are using the cable box, then it is a problem with the cable box not receving the information from its source and you should contact your cable company.
