Which is the best, Direct TV or Dish?

DirecTV simply because they have the sports packages for NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL and Nascar.
Dish Network does not have any of these packages.
If you are a fan of any of these sports, DirecTV is for you, if not, perhaps the lower price for Dish Network is better suited for you.
Direct TV has better customer base and service, dish has pissed a lot of people off..
Direct TV offers more options and packages than Dish
I have Direct TV. I have had problems with their DVR and not recording shows when I wanted them. It seems as though it happens after 3 months of service. Frankly I think the boxes are cheap. Saying that, Direct TV is still the best cable I have had. My cable does not go out often, and I love the Tivo-like quality it offers.
They are both the same when it comes to basic cable, movie channels, sports, local channels, and pay per view, but if you want international channels, DirecTV is good, they have channels from almost every country on the planet, Dish Network also has alot of international channels. It depends on what language you speak. If it is only English, go with the cheaper DirecTV.
I have both. We have Direct TV because my husband wants their NFL Sunday Ticket. I have Dish Network because I speak Arabic and they have International Channels and Direct TV doesn't have many. Overall, I like Direct TV better.
