Hdtv problem no reception?
Question:
tv or freeview to tune in. The thing is my outside aerial is
plugged into my sky + box that was how things were with
my last telly so how or what am I doing wrong.The tv ran
its auto scan and found no channels,I get the sky chann
els thru ext 1 but nothing else. all help app thx
Answer:
you will have two cables from the wall into sky + ( leave those as there are just for the sky + box ).
there should be a normal coxial wall socket, plug aerial into that and into tv, that will reslove this issuse for you.

do not act as an antenna for RF signals in the VHF or UHF band
you need a separate antenna
Your TV might be HD-Ready, without a built in HD tuner, so your outside antenna & your sky+box need to be up-graded to HD. Then let the TV scan for the channels available. I'm not 100% sure that's the problem, but it could be.
