Timewarner Cable..?

I just got my cable box today and every channel but hd channels are small.. why is that? the quality is worse than horrible and i have a samsung hdtv..

Answer:
First, access your cable box's menu and set the box for widescreen on BOTH the 16:9 and the 4:3 settings.You'll find that one is set for 4:3 mode and that's what causes you to have the small shrunken picture.

I actually have to have the box in front of me to know where to go, but..

I think you access the menu first, then at the BOTTOM of the menu there is a selection that uses the Yellow A button, and you have to press that.Look at the bottom and see if it's labled "settings" for the A button...
Then you just scroll down to the Wide or Aspect setting and select that..then scroll thru the choices...

Well what you have to do is switch the format of the picture on your tv through the picture menu. HD channels are displayed in widescreen, 16:9 like your hd tv and the other channels are analog 4:3 thats why you have to change the format.
