All of them offer 30-35 "HD" channels. Does this mean that the rest of the channels will still come through with a grainy, noisy SD picture? This is what I assume, I just want to clarify.

YES that is correct, you'll get MOST channels in SD / LOW DEF picture.
Some will be Digital.Noise Free and Low Def
And then the HD stations will have SOME HD SHOWS and some SD SHOWS.
THEN there's HDNet.all HD, all HD shows.
Wow - 35 channels, mine only has about 12. Yes, it means the rest will be SD. However, my SD channels are quite clear and crisp, but only with digital cable. Otherwise it is quite grainy.
