I just bought an HDTV and i need to get my xbox 360 to play in HD?

i bought a psyclone hdmi cable and i plugged it in and it only plays my game on 480p on AV1, theres a HDMI mode but the xbox 360 doesnt play on that channel, i was wondering how i get it to 720 and 1080, thanks

U gotta plug the HDMI cable to an input on the TV and the xbox... Then select that input on the tv via source on the remote... That should do the job...

It is all in your tv. You need to go to your tv settings and change the format from 480 to 720 and 1080.

The only Xbox that plays through HDMI is the elite. The first thing you want to do is check your console settings in the System tab of the Xbox menu. Set the Xbox to output to whatever the resolution of your TV is. If you are using the HD cables that came with the Xbox, then make sure the little switch on the cable is set to HDTV. That switch is located on the large end of the cable that plugs into the Xbox.
