Just bought a TV with in a built HD tuner so i now pick up new digital channels. How do record these ?

Question:
from what i have just read its not possible unless i get another set top box ??? this cant be right, can it ?
Certainly is. We have a tv with built in, but we also still use our sky box cos we can only record off that.
You'd buy something like the product below. You can either record your TV straight to a hard drive or onto a DVD. Beware though, if you choose to record full quality (HD) it'll take up a lot of space very quickly.

Your TV may have a video out. You should be able to use that to a VCR.
What every gets sent to the TV should also go to the VCR.
You need a DVR (digital video recorder), such as Tivo or from a cable or sattelite provider, to record programming. Having an HD tuner only allows you to view the programming.
