Trouble connecting tv to computer.?

Question:
Hi managed to sort out the ressolution on tv. I'm having a problem when I change the channel on my tv taking it of HD mode. When i turn it back the computer channel is not there. To see the screen again I have to restart the computer with the tv screen set to HD mode. Any advice to get around this problem would be much appreciated. The screen works fine when I restart the comp etc. its just that I can't switch between hd and digital as i loose the computer image.

Answer:
Hiya David,

No problem. When you change the channel the computer no longer detects the TV as a monitor and turns off the signal. When you switch back to the computer, you should go to display properties in Windows and disable the TV monitor, then click OK. Once it is grayed out, right click and select "Attached" to re-enable the monitor output signal to the TV. This should reinitialize the signal and get the computer display back on the TV.

It is also possible that the reverse is happening with the TV. Try using the input selection menu to choose a different source and then choose the correct source again.

If this does not fix it, send an e-mail and describe the method of connection, how the computer sees the TV and how you set the TV to display the computer signal.

GOOD LUCK!
its easy, just take computer upstairs, open window and throw.
