How come TV stations like TNT TBS FX can't show new movies relesed on DVD?

I have dish network and have some HD channels but not HBO or Cinimax or Encore how come they can show new movies but not TNT TBS FX or any other normal tv station i mean TNT is showing movies like spiderman come on i seen that movie like a 100 times ( exaggeration). Can't tv stations just buy the movie and put it up on air?

Its all about the money! Thats why TNT, FX, and TBS are part of standard channel lineup[s with most cable and satellite providers, and why you normally will have to pay extra for channels like HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, or Starz.because the tv stations have to pay more to air new movies.

guess not that was wat i was thinking and i think that tbs,tnt,fx just are too lazy and cheap to get new movies

No first run movies cost to much and also most movie companies make their money on DVD sales that's why they come out on DVD so quickly now. Who would buy the DVD if you could record and watch the movie for free.
