Is broadband internet offered with Direct Tv or Dish network?

Question:

I currently have high speed internet as part of a package with cable TV but the internet speed is affected by how many people are surfing at the same time, which is usually the same time I surf.

Also I hear that some cities have fiber optic internet, which works truly at blazing speed. Does anyone know if Houston has it?

It is the only provider that offers this in N. TX where I live...

I use AT&T DSL and it is bundled with Dish Network, my home phone and cell...

Sure last time I checked DirectTv wanted 600 dollars for installation.

not sure on the fiber optic but on the dish or direct tv those are typical dsl through the phone line so slow compared to cable. but there are always more variables to a slow connection. number of people useing it shouldn't be an issue if the company had set up there equipment effectively. i know around here the main cable lines have been upgraded to fiberoptic cable to handle more people.
