Question:
I have a HD LCD screen. It was working fine but is now cutting off the sides of the picture on any HD channel. If I view it in 16:9 it looks un proprotioned and HD channel in 4:3 it is not distorted but you can still see that the picture is cut off on the sides. Before this started I was viewing these channels in 16:9 and it was not distorted.
Answer:
WITH OUT KNOWING THE BRAND OF TV YOU HAVE AN EXACT ANSWER ISN'T POSSIBLE.
LOOK ON YOUR REMOTE FOR SOMETHING LIKE "SCREEN SIZE" OR "ASPECT". THAT'S WHERE YOUR ZOOM AND STRETCH CAN BE ADJUSTED.
ALSO USE "MENU" AND TAKE A LOOK AT WHAT YOUR CHOICES ARE. "RESET" SHOULD BE ONE OF THEM.
UNFORTUNATELY HDTV ISN'T PERFECT. MOST CHANNELS ARE BROADCAST IN 4:3 ASPECT RATIO. SO IF YOU WANT TO USE THE WHOLE SCREEN YOU'LL NEED TO USE STRETCH OR ZOOM. I PREFER ZOOM BECAUSE IT DOESN'T DISTORT THE PICTURE, BUT IT DOES CUT OFF THE EDGES BECAUSE IT'S "CROPPING" THE PICTURE.
try looking if your unit has(auto-sync Processing) that answers your problem.(",)
