Why don't I get all the HD Channels through Dish Network?

Question:
I have had HD for about 7 months from Dish Network, and it's been great. However I can't recieve new HD channels. All I recieve are HBO HD, ESPN HD, Discovery, HDNET, HDNET Movies, and TNT HD. They now offer my locals, HGTVHD, ESPN2HD, etc. Why don't they come in? I've tried entering the channel number mannualy and it doesn't tune to it.

Answer:
What you need to do is get an equipment upgrade on your current HD receiver in your home. Once you do that you have to upgrade your programming package to one of the new HD packs Bronze, Silver, Gold etc. However doing the upgrade with Dish you would have to commit to an 18 month lease for the equipment upgrade.Or you could goto a retailer but you would be paying more for the new equipment. discounted at dish directly Something to consider, but you are gonna be getting a new Dish with the install of the new equipment also.It all pays off in the long run..
Did you upgrade your antenna and reciver to pick up the hd signals or just ordered the service? without the upgrade in equipment you will only receive the standard broadcast signal.
Also is you tv built to receive hd signals. somtimes you need to change both in order to get the signal in right.
